Kelly Chapman, President

President of PMT, Kelly Chapman has been involved with PMT since the inception and helped to bring sanctioned mountain trail events into Ohio. She has been training, coaching, and giving obstacle clinics and lessons professionally for over 15 years. Kelly has travelled throughout the country and internationally judging and teaching the mountain trail discipline, and is the senior judge for PMT. She currently resides in Akron, Ohio where she runs her training facility and boarding barn starting colts, teaching several different disciplines from mountain trail, ranch riding, and english. Kelly "loves the partnership and trust that obstacle work builds between horse and rider."

Carla Kline, Vice President

Carla Kline has been around horses since early childhood, taught to ride by her mother before she could even walk. Over the years, she has experienced nearly every aspect of horsemanship, including racing bareback through fields, participating in 4-H for ten years, trail riding, barrel racing, reining, parades, camping, competitive trail, and most recently, mountain trail. She began her time with PMT as a rookie and finished the 2024 season as Reserve Champion in Levels 2 and 3. In 2024, she also became a judge and has greatly enjoyed this role within the sport. Last year, she passed her horse on to her young grandchildren so he could enjoy an easier semi-retirement.

Carla has spent 25 years as a

4-H advisor in Summit County. She has a great deal of experience to bring to PMT!

Outside of PMT, Carla is a laboratory manager for a local hospital.

Stephanie Reaves, Secretary

She's ridding various disciplines, including hunt seat, jumpers, dressage, western pleasure, and participated in trails, trail riding, and driving draft and fine harness horses. Reaves graduated from William Woods College in 1992 with a degree in Equestrian Science and Business Administration. She briefly taught riding and was once certified by the American Riding Instructor's Association. Reaves became an avid Parelli student, passing the Official Level One and Level Two Auditions and continuing to study Level Three. The Parelli Program inspired her to search out obstacle courses, leading her to Extreme Mountain Trail and Mounted Archery. With her current partner, a Mustang named Skaði, she participates in the the RIDE hours program hosted by PMT.

Susan Croft, Treasurer

Susan Croft grew up in Chagrin Falls. She caught the horse bug at a young age and had a quarter horse mare. Many years went by before purchasing a 6-month-old quarter horse gelding named Chief. They started out in mountain trail when Chief was 2 years old and have competed every year. Susan and Chief love to camp and trail ride when they are not competing.
